The Faculty of Law (FH) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) Bogor in collaboration with the International Mediation and Arbitration Center (IMAC) held Mediator Training and Certification with the theme "Improving Lecturer Qualifications Through Legal Professional Training and Certification" which was held in a hybrid manner, namely offline at the Bhuvana Ciawi Hotel in Bogor by implementing strict health protocols and online using the Zoom Cloud Meetings application. This training and certification was held on 23-28 August 2021 and was filled by a team of presenters from IMAC and was attended by the Chancellor of UNIDA Bogor, Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, SH., MH and staff, UNIDA Bogor Vice Chancellor I, Dr. Ir. Ristika Handarini, MP, UNIDA Bogor Vice Chancellor III, Ir. Himmatul Miftah, M.Si. and IMAC Trustees, Prof. Dr. M. Saleh, SH., MH. and staff and attended by UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law lecturers. This Mediator Training and Certification activity was held in the framework of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM) implemented by FH UNIDA Bogor and in a series of training and certification activities, a signing of cooperation between UNIDA Bogor and IMAC was held. The Chancellor of UNIDA Bogor, Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, SH, MH in his speech stated that this training and certification was filled by professional mediation and arbitration experts so that UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law lecturers were lucky to be able to take part in this training and it is hoped that UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law lecturers can take this training seriously. "Congratulations on attending this training and certification, it is hoped that UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law lecturers can take this activity seriously and can take advantage of this activity so that UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law lecturers can get to know what a profession that can be said to be new, namely mediators and later can explain and teach UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law students about mediation and arbitration," said Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, SH, MH. The Vice Rector I of UNIDA Bogor in his speech stated that this training and certification activity is part of the PKKM program in which the grant was obtained by the Faculty of Law of UNIDA Bogor from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). "This is an extraordinary opportunity for UNIDA Bogor, especially the lecturers of FH UNIDA Bogor who participated in this activity. This PKKM grant is a mandate and challenge for FH UNIDA Bogor and it is hoped that this event will run smoothly until it is finished and the participants can follow this activity carefully and get a lot of benefits from this training and certification," said Dr. Ir. Ristika Handarini, MP. IMAC Trustee, Prof. Dr. M. Saleh, SH., MH. in his speech stated that this activity was held in collaboration with UNIDA Bogor and IMAC as an institution that has been certified by the Supreme Court to hold mediation training. As an institution to conduct mediation, today is an opportunity for UNIDA Bogor Faculty of Law lecturers to take part in this training so that after attending training for 40 hours, participants get the right to become certified mediators. "This mediation training is under the direct supervision of the Supreme Court so that by including assistants from the Supreme Court to provide material also in this activity. Mediation is an effective peaceful dispute resolution to obtain a satisfactory and fair settlement to the disputing parties and is assisted by mediators who are currently being trained," he said. The Head of the PKKM Task Force Team of FH UNIDA Bogor as well as Deputy Dean II of FH UNIDA Bogor in his remarks stated that FH UNIDA Bogor had the opportunity to carry out this PKKM grant and in a series of PKKM programs of FH UNIDA Bogor there are professional development activities and improving the qualifications of lecturers, especially lecturers of FH UNIDA Bogor. "This activity is expected in the next 4 years to improve the accreditation of the faculty and can also help improve the accreditation of the UNIDA Bogor institution and with the implementation of this training and certification it is expected to improve the quality of learning which means enriching the learning content in each course taught in each semester," said Ani Yumarni, SH, MH. Eko Dwi Prasetiyo as a speaker from IMAC in his presentation entitled "Introduction to Business Disputes" stated that law is needed in life and every society needs law, because basically humans always need law both for justice, happiness and others. "Here we discuss an introduction to disputes, what is a dispute? Dispute according to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) is something that can cause differences of opinion, quarrels and disputes. So a dispute can be interpreted as a situation where there are two or more parties who maintain their respective views on a particular issue. The conflicts in disputes include data conflicts, conflicts, and conflicts.
