Synergy between the Faculty of Law Academic Community and the Community in Legal Counseling: Efforts to Improve Understanding of Land Rights in Tugujaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency

Bogor, February 8, 2026. Tugujaya Village, Cigombong Regency - The Faculty of Law of Djuanda University, along with Community Service Program (KKN) students from Group 5, held a legal outreach session entitled "Understanding Land Rights and Obligations: Towards Legal Certainty at the Village Level" on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The event, held at the Tugujaya Community Meeting Hall, was attended by residents, village officials, including the neighborhood association (RT), community association (RW), and community leaders.

The event was officially opened by the Head of Neighborhood Association (RW) 10, representing the Village Head. In his remarks, he expressed his highest appreciation to the Faculty of Law and the KKN students for their initiative in organizing this important activity for the community. "Many land issues at the village level stem from ignorance. We really need this kind of outreach," he said.

The legal outreach session featured a resource person from the Faculty of Law, Dr. Rizal Syamsul Ma'arif, S.H., M.H., and Muhamad Aminulloh served as Supervisors. The material presented covered the legal basis for land ownership in Indonesia, types of land rights such as Ownership Rights, Cultivation Rights, and Use Rights, as well as procedures for land acquisition and registration. The speakers also explained simple steps for resolving land disputes and preventing conflict.

Participants' enthusiasm was high during the question-and-answer session. Several residents actively asked about concrete issues they faced, ranging from inheritance land certificates, unclear land boundaries, to procedures for applying for land rights. The speakers and KKN students strove to provide comprehensive and easy-to-understand explanations.

The Head of KKN Group 5, Muhammad Aarantisi, stated that this activity was part of the community service program. "We strive to bridge the knowledge we gain on campus with the real needs of the community. Tugujaya Village is very open, and this collaboration is running smoothly," he explained.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Nurwati, S.H., M.H., stated that this activity embodies the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. "Synergy between academics, students, and the community is key. We hope that legal knowledge will not only be confined to the classroom, but can also provide benefits and contribute directly to the community," she said.

It is hoped that after this outreach, the Tugujaya Village community's understanding of land law will increase, thereby promoting legal certainty and preventing potential future disputes. The Faculty of Law plans to provide further assistance on several cases that emerged during the event. (FH2026)
