Bonding Families and Instilling Integrity, KM Faculty of Law UNIDA Holds Workshop

The Student Family (KM) of the Faculty of Law (FH) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a Workshop on the Class of 2022 on May 27-28, 2023 at Villa Galic Gadog with the theme "Building KM FH with the Spirit of Nationalism by Instilling Integrity Values and Upholding the Principle of Kinship". Dr. Sudiman Sihotang, S.H., M.H in his presentation stated that kinship is a sense of care created by a person or group in order to create a peaceful and serene relationship. Family value is a system, attitude and belief that can consciously or unconsciously unite family members in a culture. "This family value is also one of the guidelines in carrying out norms and ethics in the family environment. Campus is a place for students to study and carry out various activities, making campus a second home for students. Therefore, the role of students is needed to maintain and create a healthy, comfortable, and peaceful environment. Therefore, Sarasehan like this needs to be done especially to strengthen kinship, "he said. Furthermore, Yahya Abdul Habib Al Katiri said that nationalism is an attitude of love for the country, which means they love and want to build the country for the better. Facing challenges both from within (radicalism) and outside (the influence of globalization and information technology), the Indonesian people must increase their nationalism and national insight. "The attitude of nationalism must be owned by every citizen including students, because with the attitude of love for the country, they can protect and protect our country from threats in any form. The proof of Nationalism should be done in the form of real work and achievements that can make an inspiration for many people," he said. Meanwhile, Sutan Syahrudin, S.H in delivering his material stated that integrity is an attitude or mentality where it harmonizes between thoughts and actions. The definition of integrity itself, according to experts, is unwavering consistency and firmness in upholding noble values and beliefs. According to Sthepen R. Covey, integrity means we do what we do because it is right and not because it is being loved by people or in accordance with manners. "As students, it is important for us to have a character with integrity. Students with integrity mean having character, principles and consistency in running life," he concluded.
