Last Updated: 11 months ago

Bogor, July 3, 2025 — In an effort to expand access to quality legal education for law enforcement officers, the Faculty of Law at Djuanda University (FH Unida) Bogor conducted a promotional visit to the Megamendung Research Education and Training Center (Diklat Reserse) on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

This activity served as an important opportunity to introduce various flagship programs at FH Unida, including the Prior Learning Recognition Program (RPL), designed specifically for members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). Through this program, work experience and training acquired by Polri members can be converted into academic credits, enabling them to complete a law degree in a shorter time.

The FH Unida team, led by the Dean and accompanied by the Faculty's Professor of Criminal Law, was enthusiastically welcomed by the participants and instructors at the Diklat Reserse. In a relaxed yet informative atmosphere, the promotional session was filled with discussions regarding the need for legal education that is flexible, practical, and tailored to the dynamics of fieldwork.

"Through the RPL program, we want to provide the widest possible opportunity for members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to earn a law degree without having to leave their primary duties. This system shortens the study period without compromising academic quality," said the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Unida.

The RPL program received special attention from the training participants, considering that many of them already have extensive field experience but have not yet had the opportunity to pursue formal legal education. The Faculty of Law, Unida, also offers a blended learning option, making it easier for officers to complete their studies amidst their busy work schedules.

This visit served not only as an academic promotion opportunity but also as an initial step to explore institutional collaboration between the Faculty of Law, Unida, and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in developing human resources in the legal field. With a spirit of collaboration, the Faculty of Law, Unida, remains committed to being a strategic partner in developing professional, integrated, and academically-minded law enforcement officers.
