"Thank you to the leadership of UNIDA Bogor for supporting this national webinar and thank you to all the organizers who have taken the time to hold this very useful national webinar and thank you to all parties who support this national webinar event. Hopefully this national webinar can provide benefits to participants and all parties related to this national webinar, "said Dr. Hj Endeh Suhartini, SH, MH. The Rector of UNIDA Bogor, Dr. Ir. Dede Kardaya, M.Si in his remarks said that this webinar is very interesting in the field of liquor investment business, even though it has been revoked again but legally there has been no change regarding the regulation of alcoholic beverages and hopefully this will become a business field that can provide input into these regulations because in Islam liquor is a big sin even though there are benefits but it is still a bigger sin. "Hopefully the results of this webinar can provide the best alternatives and inputs regarding liquor regulations in Indonesia," said Dr. Ir. Dede Kardaya, M.S. Chancellor of UNIDA Bogor, Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, SH, MH in his presentation entitled "Reflection on the State of Law Regarding the Protection of Citizens Due to the Adverse Effects of Alcoholic Beverages" that the legalization of liquor in various regions in Indonesia has been rejected so that the regulation must be revised by the government. Alcoholic beverages are the mother of all sins with all its bad effects. Alcoholic beverages have caused 3 million deaths globally every year and as much as 5.3% of deaths in the world are caused by alcohol more than deaths caused by HIV/AIDS. "In Islam, alcohol is prohibited because Surah Al-Baqarah verse 219 states that alcohol and gambling are major sins, but it is not only in Islam, in Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism that alcohol is prohibited to be consumed. From this seminar, hopefully UNIDA Bogor students can convey opinions and input regarding government regulations on alcoholic beverages that are basic and because alcoholic beverages are prohibited by religion so it must be in accordance with Pancasila, namely the Almighty God, "said Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, SH, MH. DPD RI member and Chairperson of the Anti Alcohol Movement, Fahira Idris, SE, MH. in her presentation stated that it is hoped that future generations of Indonesia will avoid exposure to alcohol and that Indonesia needs strict and clear regulations regarding alcoholic beverages because globally alcoholic beverages have killed many, especially in Europe and America. Alcohol is also the seventh leading cause of premature death and disability and alcohol is also a contributing factor to crime such as murder. In Indonesia, there is no tax on the sale and purchase of alcohol, and research on the impact of alcohol is inversely proportional in Europe where research on alcohol is abundant due to clear and firm regulations. "Alcohol consumption changes behavior from good to bad because in cases of murder or crimes committed by minors it is the influence of alcohol and many criminal cases are committed under the influence of alcohol. The urgency of the Alcoholic Beverage Law is because from the day of independence until now Indonesia does not have a law on alcoholic beverages and it is urgently needed to protect the nation's children from the destructive influence of alcohol, "said Fahira Idris, SE, MH. UNIDA Bogor Master of Law lecturer, Dr. Bambang Widjojanto, SH, M.Sc in his presentation stated that there were indications of ambiguity in government policy. The harmful effects of alcoholic beverages are not sufficiently regulated and the abuse of alcoholic beverages is very troubling. The government believes that increased investment in alcoholic beverages has economic value to be used as an export product and local alcoholic beverages are qualified as local wisdom that can be used as an export product.
